What do my dead parents have to do with Twister?

The game of Twister, that is—not the movie. Right hand on red, left foot on blue. You know what I’m talking about.

The Conversation Project is an amazing nonprofit that helps people talk about end-of-life wishes with their loved ones. Recently they reached out and asked me to write a blog post for them. How could I resist?

Laughing in the Face of Death: Joy as Coping Mechanism” is the story of how I laughed my way through my dad’s illness and death. It details several important grief management tactics, such as:

  • Millennial party jams

  • Dungeons & Dragons

  • A rowdy game of Twister

Grateful to The Conversation Project for giving me the space to share. Grateful to you for reading.
