Welcome

Last month, I tweeted what I thought was a joke.

A screenshot of a tweet from @Rebb003 that reads: "This is weird, but if I put together some kind of 'Your Parents Are Dead: What Now?' guide with everything I learn during this depressing paperwork nightmare, would anyone be interested?"

Turns out, lots of you genuinely wanted a resource like this. I’m a writer by trade and a notetaker by habit, so I figured—why not? Thus, this website was born.

My main qualification for this project? I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m just some weirdo with dead parents. Unlike a legal or financial expert, I won’t confuse you with jargon or make assumptions about what you should already know. I’m muddling through paperwork and grief, and you get to muddle through it with me.

I’ll use this blog space to share the latest updates to the site. There are still plenty of accounts to close and complex documents to sign, so stay tuned.

Did I forget to include something obvious? Click that Contact button. I don’t think anyone should have to pay for this info—death is already pricey enough. But if you want to tip me, I’ll use the money to keep this site online.
